Branding: Perhaps the most misunderstood word in the marketing lexicon, "branding" simply means an intensive process of understanding and defining an artistic vision, and finding ways to put that to potent use. It is a process that is creatively replenishing, and commercially powerful.
Digital marketing: James can advise on an clients' digital profiles, ranging from website builds and audits to social media.
Writing/editing: A compelling communicator, James has written CD booklet notes for labels ranging from Sony Classical to Ondine. He has, in addition to his journalistic work, contributed major articles to programs for the Ravinia Festival, Metropolitan Opera House and Chopin International Piano Festival. He was editor-in-chief of theatre programs for Delfont Mackintosh Theatre group in London's West End, and has edited and co-written special commemorative publications for Carnegie Hall (including for their 125th anniversary season), the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Sundance Institute and Film Festival, and Steinway & Sons.
Concert producing and curating: James has co-produced/curated concerts including the International Concerts Series at Central Synagogue, London (co-founder); at Carnegie Hall, Cadogan Hall in London and elsewhere.
